A Little Bit About Me

Hello! My name is Garrett Ross. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Clemson University in May 2020. I am currently employed as a full-stack software engineer.

When I'm not working on a side project, I am keeping up with new releases at the box office. I also enjoy reading, co-op video games, and music.

Personal Website

This website is developed using GitHub and GitHub Pages. The current iteration is made using an HTML5up template with modified content and CSS.

Senior Design Capstone

Automated the server setup process for an AWS hosted data analytics board and migrated SQL databases to a new schema. Worked with 3 other students in an Agile environment and participated in a daily Scrums.

Database Management Systems Course

Developed an application with a Java and MySQL backend to keep track of orders and ingredient inventory levels for a fictitious pizza place.

Web Development Course

Created a grading portal clone using JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS with support for user login query filtering. The site was hosted on a remote AWS server.

Clemson MakerSpace Access Tracking System

Member of a 10-person, student-lead, year-long research project in which we developed an Internet-of-Things device to authenticate user access to a piece of machinery. We used a Python and MySQL backend running on a Raspberry Pi 3 with a RFID scanner to authenticate users.
